despatch dated the 8th December, 1936, on the

Government, and to your despatch No.94 dated the

25th February, 1937, on the subject of the

appointment of Mr. S. Caine to the post of

Colonial Treasurer and Financial Secretary in

this Colony.

Proposals for the necessary

reorganization on the lines set forth in the

enclosure to your confidential despatch dated the 428th September, 1936, are now under consideration,

and I shall address you further on the matter

in due course. Meanwhile, I shall be glad if

the necessary steps may be taken, as contemplated in paragraph 3 of that despatch,

to amend the Royal Instructions to substitute

the term "Financial Secretary" for "Treasurer
